Ameriscan Designs is a leading American-based millwork company offering architectural millwork, cabinetry, and finishes. This role focuses on applying high-quality finishes to wood products, operating spray equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace within a collaborative team.

You will contribute to finishing processes, inspect quality, and support projects with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years in wood finishing, experience with painting equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections.
• Proficient reading of blueprints and finishing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and polyurethanes to wood and other substrates using spray guns, hand sprayers, and other finishing tools.
• Perform surface preparation tasks, including sanding, filling, and routing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the spray booth and finishing area.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure that finished products meet specifications and standards.
• Touch up on job sites as required.
• Mix custom stains to match existing millwork or control samples
• Perform miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by management.
• All other duties as assigned.

In this role, you will apply high-quality finishes to custom wood products, ensuring they meet our rigorous standards. This position involves working with a variety of finishing materials and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

We are hiring for first shift and second shift.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding finishing requirements.
• Ability to make quality decisions, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to collaborate.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
