Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a dedicated Casework Assembler to accurately assemble woodwork products in our Ohio facility. You will review shop drawings, measure parts, and fit components using approved joinery methods.

You will work with hand and power tools, follow production schedules, maintain quality, and communicate issues early to keep downstream operations on track. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in cabinet, casework, or millwork assembly preferred.
• Ability to read shop drawings, work orders, and cut lists.
• Accurate measurement and basic shop math required.
• Knowledge of hand tools and hardware preferred.
• Strong attention to quality and meeting production schedules.
• Dependable, team-oriented with good problem communication.

Responsibilities

• Review orders and drawings before starting assembly.
• Verify parts, hardware, finishes, quantities, and drawing revisions match the job; report issues before assembly.
• Organize workstation, tools, clamps, adhesives, fasteners, and components for safe, efficient production.
• Assemble cabinet boxes, bases, doors, shelves, and related subassemblies.
• Adjust doors, drawers, and moving components for proper alignment and operation.
• Complete units in production sequence and communicate constraints affecting quality or schedule.
