Northrop Grumman Space Sector has an immediate opening for a Milling Machine Machinist 4 (2nd Shift - 3:30 PM to 12 AM) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Redondo Beach, California.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced machinist capable of independently setting up and operating CNC and manual equipment to produce complex aerospace hardware in accordance with NG Space procedures. They will be comfortable machining a range of materials, interpreting engineering drawings and models with GD&T, and planning and executing machining operations from setup through final inspection. The candidate will select tooling and workholding, set and verify offsets, create, adjust and optimize CNC programs at the machine, and resolve common machining issues to protect quality, schedule, and cost. They will use precision measurement tools to validate product conformance, follow workmanship, FOD control, handling, and special process requirements, and maintain a clean, safe, and audit‑ready work area. In addition, the ideal candidate will mentor junior machinists and apprentices, collaborate effectively with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Production to improve manufacturability, actively support continuous improvement (e.g., 5S and lean practices), and leverage CAM tools such as Mastercam (2020 or higher), Vericut, Catia, and NX to enhance process robustness and repeatability.

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards Primary Level Salary Range: $86,300.00 - $143,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
