Basic Qualifications

Job Description

Function

Set up and operate semi-automatic milling machines to perform routine and/or repetitive machining operations on a variety of production parts using available tapes.

Typical Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions, operation sheets, tape readout sheets, and written/oral instructions to set up and perform production machining without assistance.
• Assist with more involved setups as needed.
• Use standard tools, fixtures, and attachments for setup and machining.
• Secure and align workpieces to prevent issues.
• Prepare machines, input data, load tools, and secure parts.
• Adjust machine parameters to ensure quality.
• Change cutters as needed and perform standard machining operations.
• Check work quality and perform related tasks like deburring and polishing.
• Report issues and follow safety and housekeeping procedures.

Other Important Information

Position requires onsite work at Lockheed Martin facility in Stratford, CT. No telecommuting available. Shift: Second. Standard 40-hour work week. No security clearance required.
