Job Summary:

The Milling Machine Operator operates equipment used for milling and removing existing asphalt to prepare the surface for new asphalt.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Safely and skillfully operate a milling machine following all standard procedures.
• Properly use grade control devices.
• Maintain equipment in good condition through preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Perform daily checks on milling components and replacement of milling teeth.
• Be aware of surroundings, avoiding obstructions like utilities, curbs, and gutters.
• Maintain visual contact with co-workers and trucks.
• Perform general labor duties as assigned.
