Miller Legg Seeks a Land Survey – Survey Party Chief

Miller Legg, a family-oriented and award-winning multi-disciplinary consulting firm, is seeking an experienced full-time Land Surveyor – Party Chief to join the Survey Department in its Miami-Dade Office located in Sweetwater, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Supervising a field survey crew of 2 or 3, performing construction, topographic, right-of-way, and control survey tasks.
• Organizing and detailing job plans to ensure the crew is prepared for a safe, efficient, and successful day.
• Overseeing various types of projects while providing excellent quality control and constructive feedback to the project team.
• Training survey crew members on using surveying equipment and tools to facilitate the survey task accurately and efficiently.
• Acting as the liaison between the field and the office, communicating progress, challenges, and safety measures to the crew.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications include experience operating survey instruments and requisitioning supplies for the field.
Florida PSM license, CPR, OSHA, Trench, and Ladder certifications are a plus!

Candidate must be able to work overtime, as required.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Pass a background check and drug test.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school graduate with some college preferred.
