Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a DCS Engineer to support mill operations, optimize control systems, and improve product quality. You will design and maintain DCS hardware and software, working closely with operations and maintenance to ensure stable processes.

Candidates should have an engineering degree (electrical/chemical/paper) or a technical degree with manufacturing experience, plus hands-on exposure to DCS environments such as Bailey Infi-90 and related tools.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (electrical, chemical, or paper science preferred) or Technical Degree with manufacturing experience.
• Must be organized and able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to function and contribute within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides support throughout the mill and interfaces with operations to optimize control systems to reduce cost, improve quality, and minimize process variation.
• Design, installation, and ongoing support for mill DCS hardware and software, and technical support for process improvement projects.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance to ensure stable and capable processes.
• Researches, recommends, and implements new technologies to reduce cost or increase production.
