West Fraser's Mansfield Sawmill in Mansfield, AR is seeking an entry-level Mill Operator trainee. The role offers on-the-job training and opportunities to advance into more skilled positions while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include operating machinery and related equipment, meeting quality specs, and following safety policies. Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and pass background, drug screen, and physical exams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures in loud, high volume environments performing physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform the essential functions including walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders and working in elevated or tight spaces.
• Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Train to function in a variety of positions, including cleanup and operating machinery, forklifts or other equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
• Possess capability to operate machine center at assigned area and related equipment efficiently at productive rates without assistance.
• Meet all quality specifications for assigned area and related equipment.
• Support safety culture by adhering to mill safety policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
