A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking Mill Operators. This role involves operating a roll form machine, ensuring quality product output, and performing maintenance tasks. Ideal candidates should possess mechanical skills, be able to follow safety protocols, and complete required documentation accurately.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Mill Operators must be able to run roll form machine from start of shift to end with minimal assistance in order to meet the production schedule. Responsible for adjustments/setups to produce quality product. Must be willing to purchase necessary tools to complete job from start to finish and must be able to use welder for welding coils of steel together. Must be able to do setups and changeovers in a timely manner. *2nd shift 3:00PM-11:30PM
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.Shall monitor part quality. Be responsible for quality checks and required paperwork. Responsible to notify supervisor if any quality issues or questions arise.
2.Expected to perform to production standards/schedule and available for overtime when needs arise.
3.Must inform Department Leader when a problem occurs with product or machine.
4.Accountable for correct production counts.
5.Must be able to recognize a defected product.
6.Responsible for own calipers, micrometers and all tools needed to complete job from start to finish.
7.Daily completion of cost cards which must be filled out completely and correctly.
8.Responsible for daily housekeeping and work place organization.
9.Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within JAC Products Inc.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Trouble shooting skills with mechanical ability.
Knowledge of safety equipment on presses
Knowledge of Corporate Quality Standards
