Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on mobile and stationary equipment at the Fort Knox site.

The role requires mechanical and welding fundamentals, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to follow safety and environmental policies. Proficiency with repair manuals and basic PC tools is expected, with on-site availability and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and write instructions, perform simple calculations, and keep records.
• Mechanic and welding fundamentals are required.
• Must understand operating procedures, safety, and environmental policies and requirements.
• Strong technical and math skills with good problem solving.
• Good verbal and written communication; ability to read repair manuals and prints.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, modify, fabricate, and repair mobile and stationary equipment.
• Prepare computer-generated work orders and manage parts from the warehouse.
• Inspect equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and replace components as needed.
• Demonstrate discretion and judgment in job performance and meet performance expectations.
