Commercial Metals Company is seeking a maintenance assistant for our Jacksonville operation. You will support maintenance teams, help with routine repairs, and participate in safety programs.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and the role includes opportunities to learn the steel and construction reinforcement industries. You will work on a rotating schedule with potential overtime, and you must communicate effectively about production issues while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance personnel when requested or needed.

• Perform routine maintenance or repairs as directed.
• Ensure daily equipment inspection reports are completed each shift.
• Support continuous improvement in work methods and procedures.
