The Role

The purpose of this role is to operate the crushing circuit to size ore for further processing through HMS and Grinding/Flotation circuits. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Key Accountabilities
  • Demonstrate safe behavior by wearing proper PPE, reporting all SHEC incidents, and complying with the site’s SHEC standards and procedures.
  • Conduct pre-start checks, start the crusher circuit, and perform post-start checks.
  • Perform routine operational checks.
  • Clear blocked transfer chutes, overloaded screens, feeders, and conveyor belts.
  • Implement lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Undertake fault finding and report process and mechanical issues.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, including inspections, changing screen panels, and identifying mechanical issues within the process circuit.
  • Understand upstream and downstream circuit interactions and impacts.
  • Fill out reports and logbooks accurately.
  • Occasionally operate mobile equipment such as loaders, dozers, and skid steers.
  • Stand, walk, sit, and use hands for gripping, handling, and feeling; reach, pull, and push; communicate verbally and listen.
  • Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in mining, milling operations, or industrial production is desirable.
  • Basic writing and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Mines Regulations (MSHA principles).
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
