Columbia Forest Products in Vermont manufactures hardwood plywood and veneer for cabinetry and furniture. The position involves keeping the mill clean, rotating among duties, and following written and verbal instructions while working around moving machinery and forklift traffic.

You must be able to read English, lift up to 40 lbs, cross-train on multiple tasks, and maintain a strong safety record. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities to grow through training and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Support yard work and plant grounds maintenance.

Successful candidates must be able to work in various jobs which can include rotating to different job duties. This individual will be required to maintain the cleanliness of the general mill to include areas inside or outside not taken care of by department janitors. This may include sweeping, shoveling, climbing ladders, operating a wheelbarrow and skid steer, operating an industrial vacuum, cleaning waste containers and transporting waste, picking up refuse from plant grounds, and yard work. This position requires you to follow written and verbal job instructions. Being able to provide feedback and apply critical thinking are other keys to this position. Employees must be able to use a computer, and read. Employees must be able to use personal safety equipment while working in a manufacturing environment that includes moving machinery, fast paced fork lift traffic, machine noise, and a work environment that will vary depending on the time of the year. Must Work Weekends.
