Job summary

HDT Global/Blade is seeking an IPS Specialist – Technical Illustrator to create MIL‑STD compliant illustrations and graphics for manuals and documentation. You will work with engineers and technical writers, converting input into polished artwork, and supporting proposals and cross‑functional needs.

The role requires proficiency in Illustrator and CAD tools, strong attention to detail, and the ability to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
Translate engineering drawings and documents into exploded illustrations.
Proficient with standard software (Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro-E, Arbortext Editor).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with vendors, customers and engineers.

Responsibilities

Create technical illustrations adhering to MIL standards (MIL‑STD‑40051‑2E, MIL‑HDBK 122F, MIL‑PRF‑38807D, MIL‑HDBK‑29612/3A).
Develop vector line art and graphics for technical publications.
Produce perspective, isometric, orthographic, and schematic illustrations.
Convert sketches and photos into finished artwork; edit and format images using Illustrator.
Coordinate image content with Technical Writers and engineers; export graphics in required formats.
Travel occasionally and support proposals and document editing as needed.
