MILITARY POLICE (ARMY)
OVERVIEW:
As a Military Police, you will protect people's lives and property on Army installations by enforcing military laws and regulations. Your duties include controlling traffic, preventing crime, and responding to emergencies. You will conduct force protection, anti-terrorism, area security, and police intelligence operations. Training includes corrections and detention, investigations, mobility, and security worldwide.
JOB DUTIES:
- Complete law enforcement patrols
- Interview witnesses, victims, and suspects
- Secure and process crime scenes
- Arrest and charge suspects
REQUIREMENTS:
- Age between 17–40
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- High School Diploma or GED
- Background and medical screening
- Pass the ASVAB
TRAINING:
19 weeks of One Station Unit Training plus on-the-job instruction in police methods. Advanced Individual Training lasts 9 weeks at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
