Military Movers, Drivers, and Crew Leads

The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting household goods, furniture, and other items for military families during relocation. This position requires leadership skills to effectively oversee a moving crew and ensure timely and efficient moving services.

The ideal Mover candidate will be eager, purposeful, and efficient. This position requires excellent customer service and time management skills.

The ideal Crew lead candidate will be interested in leading and training a team to offer our clients the best service. This position requires excellent customer service and basic math skills to form bills of lading.

The ideal Driver candidate will have at least two years of driving experience and a clean driving record. This position requires attention to detail and a high level of awareness while driving the company fleet.

Commission

Responsibilities

  1. Leading a crew of movers
  2. Training team members
  3. Forming bills of lading and accurately filling out paperwork
  4. Driving company vehicles safely to job sites and back
  5. Maintenance of company vehicles
  6. Commercial and Residential Moving
  7. Loading & unloading
  8. Assembling/Disassembling of furniture and household goods
  9. Pickup/Delivery
  10. Packing/Unpacking
  11. Warehousing
  12. Responsible for providing excellent customer service to our clients

ASM Operating Hours

Monday – Saturday 7am-10pm PST

Day Shift

Full time availability

Full time/variable hours

Pay

$16.89 - $24.89 USD per hour depending on experience and position. Plus, tips, bonuses, and review raise opportunities!

Required Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  1. At least one year of military moving experience
  2. Ability to enter a military base: Two forms of government ID and a TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
  3. Valid Driver’s license
  4. 2 years of driving experience
  5. Good driving record
  6. Must be 21 years old
  7. Ability to lift 50lbs +
  8. FT Availability Monday – Saturday
  9. Ability to pass:
  10. DOT Physical
  11. 5-panel drug test
  12. Criminal background check

Drug Screening

A 5-panel drug test checks for:

  • cocaine
  • opiates
  • PCP

Any amount of these drugs will result in a positive drug test and disqualify candidates. ASM LLC is subject to both State and Federal guidelines for employee engagement and conducts criminal background checks on all employees as a condition of employment.

As a Subject Individual [Applicant for Employment] it is required that you pass a criminal background review before being employed by ASM LLC subject to the parameters below:

Subject Individuals may not perform duties which may require contact with the public or entry into a private residence or storage facility for the purpose of providing or facilitating the transportation of household goods if they have been convicted of any felony within the five years preceding the criminal background check. In addition to any felony conviction, Subject Individuals may not have been convicted of a misdemeanor involving:

  • Theft
  • Burglary
  • Sexual conduct
  • Manufacture, sale, or distribution of a controlled substance
  • Identity theft
  • False statements

Physical Exam Screening

Injuries or Health restrictions may disqualify candidates during the screening process

*Candidates must be approved by a doctor at a Concentra Urgent care as part of job screening.

*DOT or Basic Physical appointment, arranged by ASM management.

*Must be physically able to do the job without health restrictions or risk of injury.

This is a safety sensitive position for which impairment while working presents a substantial risk of death. Such safety sensitive positions must be identified by the employer prior to the applicant's application for employment.
