The U.S. Army is seeking a Microbiologist (71A) to conduct scientific research on microorganisms within the Army healthcare system. You will supervise lab operations and test procedures, guiding research in a world-class environment.

You will share expert insights with the global health community, attend trainings and conferences, and potentially serve in the Army Reserve while supporting humanitarian and mission-driven objectives.

Qualifications

• PhD required in microbiology, virology, bacteriology, parasitology, immunology, molecular biology, or biomedical engineering.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to serve as Active Duty.
• Must have permanent U.S. residency to serve in the Army Reserve.

Responsibilities

• Perform scientific research of microorganisms within the U.S. Army healthcare network.
• Supervise laboratory operations and testing as needed.
• Provide expert advice on research findings to the global health community.
• Attend trainings and conferences with other top microbiologists.
