Job summary

Teledyne Brown Engineering in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer to support military medical software tools and analytic capabilities for NHRC. You will lead requirements development, coordinate with government stakeholders, and help deliver medical planning, logistics, and decision-support capabilities.

The role requires 3+ years in systems engineering or software support, with 5+ years preferred, plus DoD collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, CS, Information Systems) or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced responsibilities.
• 3+ years in systems engineering, requirements development, or software development support; 5+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management of system requirements from stakeholders and end users.
• Maintain requirements traceability across lifecycle: user needs, system and software requirements, verification, and delivered capabilities.
• Support system architectures, CONOPS, workflows, use cases, interfaces, and technical roadmaps.
• Coordinate with software developers, government customers, and end users to ensure requirements are understood, implemented, tested, and validated.
• Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and program execution activities.
• Develop verification and validation strategies and support test planning, test case development, and user acceptance testing.
• Translate stakeholder needs into actionable technical requirements for medical planning, logistics, and decision-support tools.
• Author technical documentation, requirements packages, and customer deliverables.
• Interface with customers throughout the lifecycle and present findings and risks to leadership.
• Support fielding, training, sustainment, and user support as required.
