Job description

To be eligible to enlist in the U.S. Navy, candidates must be between the ages of 18-34.

These careers bring expertise in all facets of Information Operations, ensuring our fleet capitalizes on the information vulnerabilities of our adversaries. Candidates seeking careers in this field should preferably have a degree in areas such as international relations, political science, government, engineering, physical science, natural science, computer science, or other related fields in intelligence.

INTELLIGENCE AND INFORMATION SECURITY CAREERS IN THE NAVY

  1. INTELLIGENCE OFFICER: Analyze top-secret information, interpret spy reports, and direct the analysis of satellite imagery. Use keen analytical abilities to perceive patterns in internet chatter and ascertain implications of the latest intelligence.
  2. CRYPTOLOGIC WARFARE OFFICER: Deeply understand codebreaking, create warfighting options, advise decision-makers, and achieve military objectives in cyberspace, leveraging unmatched knowledge of the cyber battlespace.
  3. CYBER WARFARE ENGINEER: Specialize in disruptive technologies and cyberspace operations. Research, design, develop, test, and evaluate software and firmware to defend national networks.
  4. INFORMATION PROFESSIONAL OFFICER: Lead teams of Information Systems Technicians, operate and secure networks globally, and assist with top-secret cyberwarfare missions to discover tactical and strategic advantages.
