Responsibilities

Note: This is a pipeline job requisition for future expansion of 'MISO/PSYOP' or 'IO Planner' positions. We staff these positions in:

  • CONUS: Ft. Eisenhower (Ft. Gordon), GA / Omaha, NE / Tampa, FL / Ft. Meade, MD / Colorado Springs, CO / Norfolk, VA / Doral, FL / San Antonio, TX / Tyndall AFB, FL
  • OCONUS: Kuwait / Qatar / Germany / Italy

Peraton seeks experienced psychological operations (PSYOP) / Military Information Support Operations (MISO) or IO planners to integrate MISO functions into all facets of Combatant Command (CCMD) / Unified Command level planning, ensuring PSYOP/MISO considerations in decision-making.

As a MISO or IO Planner, you will:

  • Plan, develop, and assess PSYOP/MISO in campaign plans, OPLANS, and crisis situations.
  • Provide expert mission analysis, problem solving, and assessment skills.
  • Innovate using information systems and capabilities, coordinate with interagency and intelligence communities, and develop concepts to counter adversarial use of information.
  • Review and operationalize IO directives to support mission elements.
  • Apply technical skills across planning and execution levels, track performance measures, and advise on PSYOP/MISO applications.
  • Communicate effectively with senior managers and leaders to gain support for concepts and policies.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with BS/BA or additional relevant experience or an Associates degree with relevant experience.
  • At least 8 years of planning experience in PSYOP or IO fields or military equivalents.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with MISO or IO planning at service or joint levels supporting operations at Combatant Commands or Joint Task Forces.
  • Knowledge of service functions and their relation to CCMDs.
  • US citizenship, U.S. Passport, and active TS/SCI clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with joint or combined military operations and inter-agency coordination.
  • Knowledge of DoD, joint, and service doctrine and policies.
  • Ability to recommend policy and force structure changes.
  • Experience in planning, integrating, and executing PSYOP/MISO operations.
  • Strong communication, briefing, and coordination skills, including with senior leaders.
  • Knowledge of related fields like MILDEC, OPSEC, EW, Cyberspace operations.
  • Graduate of relevant military courses such as POQC, MPDAC, or Military Deception courses.

Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000, depending on experience and other factors.
