Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; or an associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluency in English required; bilingual English/Spanish may be required per contract.
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.
• Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 2 investigation and pass OCI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops informational financial materials for service members and families.
• Coordinates and provides Personal Financial Management classes/workshops (in person or virtual).
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Uses virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication as required.
• Communicates with leadership and participates in regular supervision and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree

Associate degree + 4 years experience

High school diploma + 6 years experience

3+ years financial counseling experience

Fluent English

Bilingual English/Spanish (if required)
