Job summary

Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a Personal Financial Counselor at Camp Pendleton to provide comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families on base. You will educate, coach, and refer resources, delivering classes and one-on-one sessions across the military lifecycle.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent with experience), 3+ years of counseling, U.S. citizenship, fluent English, and AFC/CFP/ChFC certifications; DoD/OCI disclosures as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent via experience).
• U.S. citizen and fluent English; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred per contract.
• Must obtain Tier 2 investigation disclosures.
• AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling to service members and families.
• Assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Coordinate and provide PFM classes/workshops across installations.
• Use virtual counseling and secure communications as needed.
• Follow DoD protocol for duty-to-warn situations.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
