Job summary

Magellan Health, Inc. is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to serve service members and families at Offutt AFB. You will deliver comprehensive financial counseling, education, and resources to help manage budgets, debt, and future planning.

The role requires 3+ years of financial counseling, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination), U.S. citizenship, and fluent English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English; bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
• Must be able to obtain required DoD security clearances (Tier 2).
• Certifications AFC/CFP/ChFC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinates, publicizes and provides Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication as approved.
• Manages duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicates with leadership and participates in supervision and quality improvement activities.
• Participates in training and contract activities; performs other duties as assigned.
