Job description

Role Overview

SNC’s Military Fellowship Program partners with SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide up to six months of on‑the‑job industry training for active‑duty service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. The fellowship gives participants valuable work experience and professional networks as they prepare for full‑time civilian employment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a project from design to release for customers, monitoring the project from initiation through delivery and program closeout.
  • Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables; identify needed resources; and interface with internal and external customers or field‑based employees on technical matters.
  • Lead simple projects such as studies, small task orders, internal R&D, level of effort, services only, spares, or projects with minimal deliverables.
  • Provide introductory people‑management experience; direct team management is not required.
  • Occasionally serve as a Control Account Manager on larger programs.
  • Handle all aspects of the project lifecycle: proposal development, planning, scope definition, design, execution, delivery, and program closeout.
  • Track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators; prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Remain agile and flexible to adapt to frequent changes.
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Currently serving on active duty and eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in project management or a related/technical field (internships do not count).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project‑management software.
  • Documented experience managing a project.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and capability to meet schedules.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or similar tools.
  • Experience developing budgets and managing projects within those budgets.
  • Experience managing project scope and scope creep during execution.
  • Knowledge of resource planning and management during project execution.
  • Experience with risk‑management planning and documentation.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and regulations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
