RTX's Customer Training Center in East Hartford, CT, seeks a seasoned Military Engine Training Instructor to deliver classroom and hands-on maintenance training for F100, F119, and F135 engines to internal and external customers, at East Hartford and on-site worldwide.
You will lead instruction, help design courseware, evaluate content for accuracy, and support continuous improvement, ISD processes, and EHS activities while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure top-tier customer
Deliver Military Engine classroom and maintenance training, including F100-PW-220, F100-PW-229, F119-PW-100, F135-PW-100, & F135-PW-600 engines to internal P&W customers and external military customers at the P&W Customer Training Center (CTC) in East Hartford, CT and on‑site at the customer’s worldwide locations. Instruction includes jet engine fundamentals, engine specific basics, familiarization, systems & troubleshooting, test cell operations, borescope inspection techniques, FOD awareness, and human factors training. Support the P&W CTC Military Engine Training Team as a maintenance instructor and subject matter expert (SME) for selected engine models. Instruct and serve as SME, support designing courseware per the P&W CTC Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Process, evaluate course material for content and accuracy, and record quality escapes to support quality system requirements. The candidate will field customer requests and direct customers to appropriate P&W support personnel. Participate in yearly continuous improvement activities, CORE activities, and EHS activities. Support cross‑functional teams focused on continuous improvement of training operations or business initiatives. Facilitate classroom instruction on numerous subjects with supervision support, coach new and current instructors, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
This position requires domestic and international travel, typically 2 weeks at a time, up to 20% travel per year.
