Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls, is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Mission Coordinator located at MCAS Cherry Point in support of the Cherry Point Tactical Training Range (CPTTTR). The coordinator will:

  1. Coordinate all mission support from mission scenario development to live operational support to post-mission debrief and evaluation.
  2. Be responsible for development, production, and continuous update of written, photographic, audio, video and mixed media training aids and materials for mission planning.
  3. Familiarize air crews with range capabilities, assets, and operational procedures with detailed debriefings.
  4. Support planning and coordination for agencies participating in or supporting training operations on the range complex.
  5. Comply with contract requirements and take action when necessary to correct deficiencies.
  6. Attend pre-mission conferences for users and support groups.
  7. Coordinate user flight schedules/training requirements with tactical training system range and warning area availability.
  8. Maintain a computer database of range utilization, prepare reports of range availability/scheduling/utilization.
  9. Develop and present briefings on capability, operation, and requirements to military and government agencies.
  10. Provide for equipment operator training for Range Training Officers (RTO) and other on-site personnel.
  11. Solicit customer feedback and encourage completion of customer surveys.
  12. Support users and support groups in conducting live missions, which includes assistance with developing training scenarios.
  13. Implement and administer effective methods of distributing mission scenarios and updates.
  14. Provide feedback on mission results such as engagement PK, kills, and EW countermeasures effectiveness.
  15. Ensure mission data reduction support is provided.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR
  • 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field OR
  • 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field OR
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • MUST have an active Secret clearance.

  • Air intercept operations or tactical exercise development and evaluation.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
