Job summary

Nexus Family Healing in Eugene, Oregon, seeks a Milieu Supervisor to lead trauma-informed milieu operations and mentor staff in treatment guidance plans, ensuring safe, therapeutic daily care for youth and families.

You will develop procedures, participate in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, hire and coach staff, schedule services, monitor client progress, and maintain calm, supportive interactions while upholding Nexus values.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a related industry.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license; must meet Nexus driving requirements.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals or communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop program procedures to ensure safe, effective treatment delivery.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment planning and interventions.
• Identify and analyze problems or risks and provide solutions.
• Plan and schedule trauma-informed daily treatment services.
• Monitor delivery of services and ensure family inclusion and communication.
• Hire, coach, and mentor staff; prepare staff schedules and timecards.
• Ensure staff perform duties calmly, therapeutically, and trauma-informed.

• Full-time Schedule 2:00pm-12:30am Sunday - Wednesday OR Wednesday-Saturday
• Location: 2675 Martin Luther King Jr Blv, Eugene
• Starting at $65,000-$68,000 annually

Position Summary:

Our Milieu Supervisor is responsible to provide trauma-informed milieu leadership and mentorship in the treatment guidance plans through effective communication, organization, and planning of the daily operations of the program and assigned unit.

Primary responsibilities:

• Assists in the development of program procedures and systems that contribute to efficient, safe, and effective delivery of treatment services to clients and their families
• Participates as a multi-disciplinary team member in developing and implementing client treatment plans and interventions
• Initiates, identifies, and analyzes potential or current problems or risk factors on the program and generates alternative solutionsEnsures that new admissions are entering into a safe and welcoming environment and all admission milieu needs of the youth and family are met
• Assists in the planning and scheduling of trauma-informed daily treatment services
• Monitors the delivery of treatment services to clients for proper follow-through within the program and to ensure family inclusion and communication
• Tracks the daily needs of youth related to clothing, dietary needs, court/treatment plan/referral source meetings, family time and contact
• Interviews and hires new youth care professional staff members
• Provides on the job coaching, training, and mentoring to staff
• Prepares assigned staff work schedules and approves staff timecards
• Ensures that staff are performing their assigned duties and interacting with clients in a calm, therapeutic, and trauma-informed manner
• Coordinates and ensures that all shift related client and staff documentation is completed
• Provides direct floor coverage during staff absences, emergencies and for on-call coverage, as needed

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a related industry
• Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience required
• Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements
• Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges.
• Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.
• Successfully participate and complete a three-part Therapeutic Crisis Intervention exam and training
• Must successfully pass a DHS criminal background check

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a clinically related field preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with clients and families preferred
