Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral therapies (counseling, psychology, therapeutic recreation, occupational therapy), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote a calm milieu by providing individual support and monitoring to patients.
• Serve as a role model to help patients relate to others and develop social skills.
• Collaborate with staff and treatment team; communicate warmly and empathetically.
• Ensure compassionate, high-quality, customer-focused care; validate patient needs.
• Prevent escalation by monitoring activity and de-escalating crises when needed.
• May perform unit/department duties as outlined.
