Description

Title: Milieu Counselor - SAGE

Position: Full-Time / In-Person

Salary: $24.04/hr. - $26.50/hr. (Bilingual Spanish - $26.20/hr. - $28.88/hr.)

Shift Options:

1. Swing Shift 1:00 pm - 11:30 pm (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Saturday)
2. Overnight Shift 9:00 pm - 7:30 am (Various days)
3. Relief Milieu Counselor positions available

This program supports youth survivors of commercial sexual exploitation (CSEC), offering a safe environment to support, achieve, grow, and empower them.

Position Summary

Assist residential youth by creating a secure, therapeutic environment, helping them develop skills for independence and future opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support adolescent girls (11-17) who have been CSEC through stabilization and therapeutic care.
• Serve as caregivers and role models, encouraging academic pursuits, hobbies, and addressing behavioral issues.
• Create an inclusive environment; bi-cultural and bilingual applicants are encouraged.
• Ensure safety during residential and community activities.
• Apply Sanctuary model and organizational policies.
• Participate in staff development and trauma-informed training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• One year of youth-related experience or relevant education
• Pass DHS criminal background check
• Valid Driver's License
