Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring Home Health Aides (HHAs/CHHAs) to provide compassionate, one-on-one care in clients' homes as part of BAYADA Home Health Care – ACSP Division. Training is available for CHHA certification, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to work near home.

Key responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship, all under supervision of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and dependable caregiver qualities.
• Willingness to travel to clients' homes.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days/evenings/weekends.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care per a written plan of care under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, meal prep and feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, bed making and transfers.
• Monitor vital signs and provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and support to help clients maintain independence.

What You’ll Do

As a BAYADA Home Health Aide, you'll provide compassionate one-on-one care based on a written plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Bathing, grooming, and toileting
• Dressing and personal hygiene
• Meal preparation and feeding
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Bed making and other household tasks
• Assistance with ambulation and transfers
• Range-of-motion exercises
• Vital sign checks
• Companionship and emotional support
• Helping clients maintain their independence at home

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for caregivers who are:

• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful
• Passionate about helping others
• Committed to providing quality care
• Able to travel to clients' homes as assigned
• Comfortable working independently with clients

Previous home health care or patient care experience is welcome, but not always required. Training may be available for qualified candidates.

For Experienced CHHAs

Candidates applying for HHA/CHHA positions should have:

• A current CHHA/HHA credential in good standing with the New Jersey Board of Nursing
• Previous caregiving or home health experience, when required for the position
