Job summary

Donaldson Company in Nicholasville, KY is hiring a Team Member (Welder) to fabricate Industrial Air Filtration systems in a collaborative, on-site team. This is a 2nd shift role with hours 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., plus a $1 shift differential.

You will read blueprints, weld assemblies from sheet and structural steel, set up weldERS, perform daily tasks, and ensure safety and quality. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to DOT/HAZMAT rules, and commitment to attendance.

Qualifications

• Prior welding experience and/or welding certifications.
• Read blueprints and understand drawings.
• Able to fit, tack weldment assemblies.
• Operate industrial forklifts and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and observe all EHS rules.
• Weld, fit and detail equipment assemblies from sheet and structural steel.
• Set up and operate different types of welders.
• Read blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Use mechanical ability and hand tools to complete daily tasks.
• Perform quality checks and document records.
• Handle materials and transport product as needed.
• Follow DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies.
• Follow Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Wear designated PPE as required.

Team Member (Welder) at our Nicholasville, KY location involves working collaboratively to fabricate Industrial Air Filtration systems in an innovative team orientated environment. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, with hours Monday - Thursday 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. there is a $1 shift differential for working these hours.

Role Responsibilities

• Work safely and observe all EHS rules
• To fit, weld together and detail equipment assemblies out of sheet steel and structural steel
• Set up and operate different types of welders
• Read blueprints and understand written and verbal instructions
• Use mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to complete daily tasks
• Complete quality checks and fill out appropriate paperwork for record
• Material Handling and Transportation of Product
• Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
• Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Use all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required

Minimum Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate ability
• Must have prior welding experience and/or welding certifications
• Read blueprints
• Fit/tack weldment assemblies
• Operate industrial fork trucks and overhead cranes.
• High School Diploma, GED, previous experience
