Job summary

Sauk Valley Area Chamber is seeking a MIG Welder with stiffener experience in Sterling, IL. This direct-hire role offers a strong benefits package and a starting wage of $28.01 per hour on the 3rd shift.

The position requires ability to set heat temperatures on welders, inspect welds, and adjust welding gun positioning as needed. Lifting and palletizing duties are part of the role, with employment contingent on probationary period.

• Inspect welds for proper location and make minor adjustments to welder gun position.
• Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective material and refer to supervisor.
• Place finished product on pallets; lifting and pulling required.

Job description

MIG Welders - Stiffener - MIG/MAG (Must have welding experience)

Sterling, IL Direct Hire with excellent benefit package

$ 28.01 per hour 3rd shift open

• Set heat temperatures on welders. Hand crack material into location
• Inspect welds for proper location and making minor adjustments to position of welder gun
• Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective material and refer to supervisor
• Place finished product on pallets. Lifting and pulling are required
