Job summary

Cimarron Trailers is seeking a MIG Welder to build and fabricate trailer components and assemblies. You will read blueprints, measure, cut, and weld doors, floors, sidewalls, and other parts using MIG/TIG welding processes and related tools.

This role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and adherence to safety and lean manufacturing practices. Qualifications emphasize experience in a manufacturing environment, MIG and aluminum TIG welding, read tape measures accurately, and ability to work with

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and drawings to construct trailer components.
• MIG welding to join aluminum and steel parts.
• TIG welding for aluminum where required.
• Accurate measurement to 1/16 inch using a tape measure.
• Collaborate with welders and supervisors to resolve issues.
• Adherence to lean manufacturing practices (5S, Kanban).
• Able to float to other departments as needed.
• Follow all Cimarron Trailers policies.
• Maintain quality and timely production.

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, sample parts, and written or verbal work instructions to construct and assemble components of trailer assemblies using electric, pneumatic and hand-powered tools, as well as MIG and/or TIG welding equipment
• Verify product conformance to the appropriate specifications and standards outlined in work order and drawings
• Measure, mark, cut and machine parts using machines such as tube benders, bandsaws, plasma torches, or other equipment
• Collaborate with other sheet metal workers, welders, and/or supervisors to address and resolve product or process issues
• Adhere to lean manufacturing principals, including but not limited to 5S, Point of Use Storage, and Kanban systems, to maintain productivity, safety and cleanliness in the work area
• Required to be able to float to other departments at any time as needed by the Company
• Required to follow all policies and procedures as directed by Cimarron Trailers
• Responsible for ensuring quality product is completed in a timely manner
• Regular attendance is a critical function of this job
