Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • MIG welder certification preferred.
  • Apprenticeship or formal training in welding area is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
  • Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

  • Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal by applying welding techniques.
  • Interprets blueprints or schematics to select welding process.
  • Inspects welds for structural soundness.
  • Follows safety protocols and quality procedures.
  • May set up welding devices or robots and prepare materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
