Job summary

Jamco Products Inc., a Myers Industries Company, located in South Beloit, Illinois, is seeking a MIG Welder I to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level role performs MIG welding to assemble metal components according to blueprints and quality standards.

You will read blueprints, prepare materials, set up and operate welding equipment, inspect welds, and maintain logs. Shift is 2:30pm-11:00pm Monday through Friday with mandatory Saturday as needed; compensation is $22.50 per hour plus

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; welding certification preferred.
Some MIG welding experience and ability to read blueprints.
Commitment to safety, quality, and precision in all tasks.

Responsibilities

MIG weld components and structures to meet specifications and quality standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and positioning parts.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment; perform routine maintenance.
Inspect welds and address defects; maintain welding logs and material usage.
Follow safety procedures and wear PPE; ensure proper ventilation.
Flex between departments as needed to support production needs.
