Job summary

Volt is hiring a Welder in Forest Park, GA to operate welding machinery in a fast-paced production environment and collaborate with a production team to meet daily goals.

The ideal candidate has MIG welding experience in manufacturing, can read blueprints, perform basic math, and interpret drawings while maintaining high quality welds. A High School diploma or GED is required, with strong safety and quality focus. This is a full-time contract role with pay ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience in production/manufacturing.
• Ability to read welding specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Perform basic math (add/subtract/multiply/divide with whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
• Read and interpret drawings, follow routers, and use basic measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding machinery and equipment.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Measure work piece dimensions to ensure accuracy of machine operation.
• Weld in a fast-paced production environment, often in a team setting.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition while following safety regulations.
• Operate any equipment needed for assigned tasks and related duties.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
