Job summary

Wastequip's Brookhaven, MS facility is seeking a MIG Welder to support our steel division manufacturing operations. The role involves setting parts in jigs, tack welding, and welding along various positions with emphasis on quality and safety. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

The pay rate is $18.61 per hour. Candidates should be able to read blueprints, use measurement tools, and pass applicable EHS tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• One to six months of related welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos and safety notices.
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures and tack weld as directed.
• Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Connects gas regulators and prepares torch for cutting.
• Ensure weld quality by inspecting bead size and alignment.
• Follow safety guidelines and report any hazards.
