Wastequip is seeking a Welder for its Winamac, IN facility. The role requires MIG welding in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with emphasis on precision in layout and tacking, plus ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.

You will work on refuse truck assemblies on a production line and maintain safety standards. Responsibilities include preparing parts, welding in multiple orientations, inspecting bead size, and finishing welds.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret simple instructions and memos.
• Reading blueprints and using tape measures accurately.
• Basic math skills relevant to measurement and layouts.

Responsabilités

• Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor and clamps parts as per layout marks.
• Welds parts in a production line for refuse trucks assembly.
• Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces; welds vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders; lights torch and adjusts gas flow.
• Examines welds for bead size and quality; chips or grinds excess weld, slag, or splatter.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
