Job summary

United Alloy in Union, Ohio is hiring an experienced MIG Welder for heavy tank and structural fabrication at our Union facility near Dayton. If you take pride in clean welds, high-quality work, and doing it right the first time — we want to talk to you. Work on-site, Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:00am with overtime available.

Starting pay is $28/hour ($25 base + $3 shift premium). No travel; you’ll be home every night. Must pass AWS D1.1 weld test and be able to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience in heavy fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Able to lift 50 lbs with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run 1–2 weld work centers independently.
• MIG weld large fabricated tank components using fixtures.
• Read blueprints and interpret welding symbols.
• Perform tank leak tests and first articles (PPAP).
• Inspect welds to meet AWS D1.1 and customer quality standards.
• Maintain welding machines, wire, and gas.
• Support continuous improvement and mentor teammates.
