Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join their manufacturing team in Pennsylvania. The welder will join steel and aluminum parts, interpret blueprints, and ensure quality welds across 1/16” to 1” plates.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean work areas, following safety procedures, and selecting appropriate protective gear. The role emphasizes reliability and adherence to production schedules within a large moving equipment company.

Qualifications

• Successfully complete a plant-administered welding test.
• Regular attendance is essential.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs all-position MIG welding to join steel and aluminum from 1/16” to 1” thick.
• Interprets and carries out work orders, blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Clamps parts into jigs or holding fixtures.
• Cleans burrs, spatter and weld flux from assemblies.
• Hand-counts material for inventory purposes.
• Wears protective clothing and equipment including welding helmet, gloves, cotton clothing, safety glasses and steel-toe shoes.
• Follows safety practices and maintains clean, safe work areas.
