Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a MIG Welder in Jonesboro, AR for a direct-hire role. You will Weld metal parts using MIG equipment, read blueprints, and help fabricate components to engineering specifications.

The position requires at least one year of MIG welding experience, ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Schedule is 1st or 2nd shift, full-time with benefits and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of welding experience; MIG welding experience required.
• Knowledge of welding techniques, welding gases, and cutting tips.
• Working knowledge of sheet metal, tooling, and tool maintenance.
• Strong measuring and math skills, including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read blueprints and read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal parts together using electric or gas welding equipment.
• Fill cavities and correct malformations in parts; finish edges with a grinder.
• Examine parts for defects and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Lift parts and dismantle assemblies as needed; cut scrap with a plasma torch.
