Emerson is seeking a skilled welder for a production role. You will adjust welder settings, read blueprints, and weld parts using fixtures on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70lbs.
• Ability to do other duties as assigned.
• 1-year experience MIG Welding in Production setting.
• Ability to read and follow welding symbols on blueprints.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Adjust welder settings based on metallurgical properties of metal used in blueprint to ensure quality welds.
• Work from blueprints, to set up and weld parts using appropriate fixtures.
• Operate hand grinders as needed.
• Visually inspect work and fixturing on an on-going basis to check quality standards and the appearance of the product.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70lbs.
• Ability to do other duties as assigned.
