The ideal candidate will have MIG welding proficiency, prefer AWS certification, and be able to read drawings and use measurement tools. Candidates must pass pre-employment checks and can expect overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• AWS welding certification preferred
• Proficiency in MIG welding required; TIG welding experience preferred
• Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and manual tools (swagers, squares, calipers, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Ability to accurately enter production data into Epicor
• Willingness to learn and apply Operational Excellence and TFOS principles
• Willingness to support other areas of production as needed
• Proficiency in English required
• Must have welding helmet

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and technical drawings; take measurements to plan layout and welding procedures
• Determine appropriate welding equipment and methods based on drawing specifications
• Set up components for welding, including cutting and sizing materials to specification
• Prepare parts for welding using appropriate tools and equipment
• Align components using calipers, rulers, and similar tools; clamp pieces and fixtures as needed
• Weld components using manual and semi-automatic equipment in multiple positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead)
• Repair assemblies and components, including filling gaps and correcting defects
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify flaws
• Maintain equipment to ensure continued safe operation
• Participate in daily 6S activities and ongoing TFOS initiatives
