Job summary

Stoughton Trailers is seeking a skilled welder to join our team in Wisconsin. The role requires operating MIG welders, plasma cutters, torches, and robotic welders across multiple positions, ensuring quality and safety in production.

You will read blueprints, process sheets, and gauges, perform machine setups for carbon and stainless steel, and participate in routine quality checks. Overtime may be required; reliability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required based on education and experience.
• Welder certification preferred.
• Ability to read gauges, tape measures, blueprints, and process sheets.
• Basic shop math skills.
• Knowledge of welding practices and equipment setup (weld machines, oxy/acetylene, plasma, robotics).
• Ability to pass weld and pulmonary function tests.

Responsibilities

• Weld in all positions: Flat, Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead.
• Set up parts and assemblies for welding.
• Prepare machines for carbon and stainless steel of various gauges.
• Position, clamp, and bolt parts together.
• Operate overhead cranes, hoists and lifting devices.
• Perform measurements and quality checks, recording findings.
• Operate robotic weld equipment.
• Maintain safety, efficiency, and productivity per policy.
