Job Summary
We are seeking2nd Shift MIG Welders (Mon-Thursday, 4PM- 2:30AM)to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position requires proficiency in MIG welding techniques and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including construction sites.
Duties
- Operate MIG welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine project requirements.
- Perform soldering and machining tasks as needed to complete projects.
- Utilize plasma cutting tools for precise cuts on metal materials.
- of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.
- Welding I-Beam Frame and Fuel Tanks in flat/vertical overhead positions. The sheet metal thickness will range from 10 gauge up to inch.
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
- Position and secure work pieces, using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand tools
- Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
Requirements:
- Must be able to read measuring devices, such as tape measure
- Must be able to read blueprints - this is extremely important
- GMAW (MIG/MAG) experience preferred
- Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Must be highly motivated
- Able to communicate and work well with others
- Pay attention to details and have a strong drive to succeed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Use power tools and equipment, including micrometers and forklifts, for various tasks on the job site.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
