Job summary

WeldIT Mobile Welding in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time MIG welder for our fabrication shop. You will weld carbon steel components and structural members in a busy shop environment, following blueprints and weld symbols to drawing dimensions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on MIG experience in fabrication, reads drawings, and maintains a clean, safe work area while collaborating with a team. Experience with flux-core, TIG, or Stick is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• MIG (GMAW) weld carbon steel components, structural members, and custom fabrication projects in the shop.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
• Fit, tack, and weld parts to drawing dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, correct any defects, and grind or finish as required.
• Operate shop equipment such as grinders, saws, and torches safely.
• Maintain welding equipment and keep a clean, safe work area.

WeldIT Mobile Welding is hiring a full-time MIG welder to join our fabrication team at our shop in Houston, Texas. If you run a clean, consistent MIG bead on carbon steel and want steady, in-shop work with a growing company, we want to hear from you.

• Location: WeldIT fab shop, 12243E FM 529, Houston, TX 77041
• Position type: Full-time
• Pay: $21.00 per hour
• MIG (GMAW) weld carbon steel components, structural members, and custom fabrication projects in the shop
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
• Fit, tack, and weld parts to drawing dimensions and tolerances
• Inspect finished welds for quality, correct any defects, and grind or finish as required

• Maintain welding equipment and keep a clean, safe work area
