Job summary

Contract Industrial Tooling (C-I-T) in Richmond, Indiana seeks an experienced MIG welder to lay out, tack, and complete welds, interpreting drawings and following welding symbols. You will set voltage, amperage, wire speed, and PPE, maintain equipment, and record quality data in logs for traceability.

Work is on a day shift in a manufacturing environment with safety protocols, PPE, and steady processes to ensure quality and on-time production.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience or formal training (1+ year).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• AWS certification is a plus.
• Successful completion of CIT weld test.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and tack/complete welds with GMAW per specs.
• Interpret drawings and follow weld symbols and assembly requirements.
• Dial in voltage, amperage, wire speed, and shielding gas for proper penetra tion.
• Maintain equipment with preventive checks and basic troubleshooting.
• Record production and quality data in logs with accurate entries.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and gauges for conformance.
• Exhibit reliable attendance and safety, using PPE and following shop rules.
• Own results and pursue continuous improvement in volume and quality.
