Job Title: Production Associate - Welder
Reports To: Weld Supervisor / Lead
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Approved By: Human Resources Director

Summary

Fabricates and assembles metal products, supporting others in the same task, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, and/or Spot) to weld components together.
• Set up welding equipment.
• Read blueprints.
• Lift, position, and remove pieces for welding.
• Mark reference points to assist in layout.
• Load, stack, and transport stock and work in process manually or using equipment.
• Attach grappling equipment to pieces for moving by crane or jib.
• Grind, clean, and polish parts to correct defects or prepare surfaces for finishing using hand tools.
• Perform visual inspection of components and some dimensional inspections with measurement devices.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
