Hartzell Hardwoods, Inc. is seeking a Welder in Ohio to interpret blueprints and join metal parts using MIG and TIG welding equipment.

The role involves overhead cranes and physical tasks such as bending and standing in various positions, with daily variation across our broad product line. The ideal candidate will have a trade school certificate or two years of welding experience, be able to pass a written quiz and hands-on weld test, and read blueprints with confidence.

Qualifications

• Trade school certificate or two years welding experience.
• Experience with and knowledge of hand tools.
• Strong blueprint interpretation/reading skills.
• Ability to crouch and kneel.
• Must be able to pass written quiz and hands-on weld test.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and parts lists.
• Work from blueprints.
• Determine material type and thickness of weld wire.
• Set up welding equipment per material type.
• Weldments per work order and blueprints.
• Position and clamp components prior to welding.
• Clean up welds and inspect visually.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Support Hartzell culture and values.
