Job summary

RIM Recruitment Professionals seeks a skilled MIG/TIG Welder for a machine shop in Elmwood Park, IL. The role is hands-on, requiring reading prints independently, managing own jobs, and delivering clean, high-quality welds with an emphasis on safety.

Welders will perform MIG and TIG welding to blueprints and specifications, read symbols, and produce consistent welds with minimal supervision. Hours are 7am–5pm, Monday–Friday, with a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional welding experience in machine shop or fabrication.
• Strong MIG and TIG welding skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to safe work practices.
• Preferred 5+ years of welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Weld MIG and TIG to blueprints and specifications.
• Read weld symbols, dimensions, and notes to select the right process.
• Produce clean, consistent welds with minimal supervision.
• Quality and safety inspections of own welds.
• Keep work area clean and organized; follow shop procedures.
